Scrying is one of the most ancient forms of divination and the word derives from the Saxon word 'descry'. Today this means, 'to reveal'. One of the most famous people to use this method of divination was Nostradamus who used a scrying bowl filled with water in which to gaze and obtain his prophecies. When you are scrying, you open the third eye and see beyond the bowl. The reflective surface is only a tool; the images come from within, from connecting to the unseen.
