Dogs in General
The Dog is the 11th animal in the Chinese zodiac and is the symbol of loyalty and wisdom for the Chinese. It is one of the most likeable signs of the Chinese Horoscope. Dog people value honour and enjoy helping other people.
Dog Strengths
A Dog person is loyal, honest and affectionate, with a deep sense of justice and fair play. They are willing to fight for their principles. A Dog person has great respect for tradition, is very moral, honest and straightforward. They are warm and good workers. Dog people are intelligent, intuitive, good listeners and have good judgement.
Dog Challenges
Dog people tend to overestimate dangers, and are sometimes bad tempered when cornered. They can also be simplistic, suspicious and obstinate. They are generally not happy in love and tend to be hot headed. A Dog person is also full of anxiety.
Dog Prosperity in other Animal Years
Dogs gambol through Dog, Horse and Tiger years, but feel constrained in Dragon, Ox and Goat years
Dog Compatibility
Best love match: Tiger - you'll adore their laid back nature and you can easily rev them up between the sheets, making love fun and light-hearted.
Probably best to avoid: Dragon - will drive you mad in all the wrong ways - sex could never be good with someone so bossy.
And compatibility with the other signs?
Pig - this lover truly cherishes you. Yet you must just accept that others will make calls on their affection.
Rat - passionate pairing is possible, but this lover will lose interest if you get too snug and set in your ways.
Ox - this lover lacks the intuition to understand you thoroughly. Still, this can be a great pairing of true hearts.
Rabbit - a safer bet! Here is an honest soul who wants what you want - to love wholly, and to be wholly loved.
Snake - don't be discouraged by this distant, aloof being. With your pure affection you touch their very soul.
Horse - a charmer who could take you for a ride. But love can win the day if you accept their free and easy ways.
Goat - you both seek a soul-mate, and enjoy warm, safe loving. Find excitement in life through shared interests.
Monkey - a mix of guile and tenderness could win you this fun, friviolous lover. You'll do a lot of the love work.
Hen - this over can be just too overbearing, but your special brand of loving can bring out the best in them.
Dog - your like, your equal, your other half - that is how this goes at best. At worst, there's no spark, still, no one gets hurt.
The Sexy Dog
Out of all the Chinese signs, you're the one least likely to be treated badly in love, as you are incredibly intuitive about people, despite your kind nature. You heartily dislike being told what to do, and that carries into the bedroom too, where you hate nothing more than someone shouting orders like a sergeant major. Instead, light-hearted giggly lovemaking is much more your scene, and you'll try to bring fun and frolics into the bedroom, as well as passion. You love pleasing your lover and know just which intimate kisses are the most thrilling. Afterwards, you'll happily snuggle into the bed and not move another muscle for hours - except maybe to giggle.
How to Tame a Dog
Don't go in guns blazing: too much emotion tires these creatures, so stay clam. In bed, relax and have fun. Suggest new positions and don't get offended if your canine companion ends up in fits of giggles - not moans of passion. But whatever you do, don't force them to receive too much - they find it hard to relax and are happier being active rather than passive.
