DECEMBER GIFT GUIDE

December is the twelfth month of the year in the Gregorian calendar and the tenth month of the ancient Roman calendar. December retained its name (from the Latin Decem meaning tenth) after January and February were inserted into the calendar created by the Romans.

In the neopagan Wheel of the Year, December is the time to celebrate Yule and the Winter Solstice on 21st December in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the time of the Goddess … of the cold and darkness, and the rebirth of the Divine Child, the reborn Sun God. This is the longest night of the year and a time for rebirth and the turning of the earth force tides. The time to cleanse ourselves of all that blocks us from being born anew with the rising solstice sun.
