YEARLY CHINESE HOROSCOPES

Chinese Astrology is based on the lunar (Moon) calendar. Each Chinese sign lasts more or less for a year, beginning with the New Moon in the Sun Sign of Aquarius. This New Moon can fall at any time between early January and late February. Every twelfth year will be the year of the same animal - the Year of the Horse begins on 17th February 2026 and the next Horse year will not begin until 4th February 2038.

According to Chinese tradition, the signs were given their names by Buddha, five centuries before the birth of Christ. As Buddha lay dying he asked all the animals in the world to come to visit him and say farewell. Only twelve did so, and to thank them he offered each one their own year, so they would become immortal. The names of the Chinese Astrological Signs (in Chinese Zodiac order) are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Hen/Rooster, Dog and Pig.

THE CHINESE YEAR OF THE HORSE BY CHINESE SIGN [from 17th February 2026 to 4th February 2038]

Rat RAT
The Horse sign is in direct opposition to the Rat. There can be protracted conflicts, especially with regard to personal relationships. In business, disputes and personality clashes make life difficult. Do not be discouraged, as the situation will improve later.

Ox OX
This is a period of seeming stagnation. Seed has to remain in the ground for quite a while before the grain can be harvested. Everything needs a period of rest; matters are waiting to happen. Make sure you don't mistake the leafless trees of winter for dead ones.

Tiger TIGER
The Horse is one of the Tiger's most favourable signs. The benefits are not confined to financial stability, but are also evident in the quality of life. Progress can be made in relationships where rivalries have caused problems in the past.

Rabbit RABBIT
There are likely to be obstacles pout in your way by a critical and negative colleague. The reasons are likely to be jealousy or resentment. Although the interference may be unpleasantly intrusive, it is unlikely to develop.

Dragon DRAGON
This period is very favourable for socialising, teamwork or arranging events involving many people. This time also favours sporting events, male activity and outdoor ventures. It is less favourable for matters more usually associated with women's interests.

Snake SNAKE
This is a period of continuation but within a changed environment. Buildings may be altered, or the people around you may move on, though your own position continues as before.

Horse HORSE
A great time to embark on new ventures and strike out in whatever direction takes your fancy. Follow your instincts.

Sheep SHEEP/GOAT
A demanding time, but do not complain as it is for your own future benefit. For those looking for new partners in their lives, this is a promising phase.

Monkey MONKEY
This is a period of quiet confidence and Inner satisfaction. Life should run both smoothly and satisfactorily. There are opportunities for meeting with new friends, and your social life - though quiet - will expand to draw in some very interesting people.

Hen HEN/ROOSTER
You may find colleagues difficult to work with. Some people are very set in their ways and ideas. Try to be patient. Neither dismiss their ideas nor accept them. Any problems will resolve themselves eventually.

Dog DOG
You can proceed with confidence at this time. This is a highly favourable and productive period in which you can realise a long-standing ambition. You may embark on a fresh career or find a new romance in your life. You will be in much demand at social functions.

Pig PIG/BOAR
You may encounter problems in balancing the demands of home life and career. Male family members can cause disputes, but these can be resolved with the help of people who are known to them.
