Sterling silver is a soft metal and will tarnish over time when in contact with the skin (especially if there is a high PH), perfumes, the elements in general and in hotter weather. We recommend our jewellery is always stored in the box provided when not worn to lessen any tarnishing. Rubbing with our soft silver jewellery polishing cloths easily removes any natural tarnish.

Sterling silver under 7.78g weight is exempt from hallmarking under the UK Hallmarking Act 1973. The minimum hallmark requirement for sterling silver over this weight is the '925' stamp. Most of the jewellery makers place their hallmark stamps in the most unobtrusive place (usually in the chain bale), so as not to spoil the lines of the jewellery.
